My problem is walking down hill. I am fine on the flat and ascent. I was caught a few times while out walking when more than one decent was involved and as a result I have had to avoid walks involving hills.
Nine weeks ago I had little trouble being persuaded to try Elavina and until a week ago I had not tested my knees. However, my chance came a week ago while visiting relatives in Austria and ascended the side of a steep gorge via steps and paths. I reached the summit without any problems, except perhaps a little out of breath, then the descent, which was more of a test for my knees than I was comfortable with, I was elated when I reached the bottom with hardly a twinge.
Although I have yet to take my knees on longer walks involving ups and downs, I have every confidence they will hold out. I will send a follow up report once I have been on a few challenging walks.
